Objectives:
Cultivating objective, moderate, factual critical thinking;
Spreading awareness of the social, economic, cultural and educational mechanisms that lie behind the situations of radicalism and extremism;
Increasing the motivation to get involved in promoting the reduction of extremism and radicalism within the framework of society.
Célkitűzések:
Objektív, mértéktartó, tényszerű kritikai gondolkodás kialakítása;
A radikalizmus és a szélsőségesség mögött meghúzódó társadalmi, gazdasági, kulturális és oktatási mechanizmusok tudatosítása;
A motiváció növelése a szélsőségesség és a radikalizmus társadalmi kereteken belüli visszaszorításának előmozdításában való részvételre.
Activities and methods
Even though the definition of radicalisation is in continuous debate, it generally designates the process by which a person ends up supporting radical ideas in opposition to the current socio-political or religious reality. Individuals either support or oppose vehemently progressive social changes and take on violent and non-violent forms, leading to terrorism. Through this project, we want to understand the discrepancy between radicals and reformers and realise the importance of moderate opinions, which do not exceed a degree of in-depth understanding of sensitive social issues.
Activities and methods
Bár a radikalizálódás definíciója folyamatos viták tárgyát képezi, általánosságban azt a folyamatot jelöli, amelynek során egy személy a jelenlegi társadalmi-politikai vagy vallási valósággal szemben álló radikális eszméket támogat. Az egyének vagy támogatják, vagy ellenzik a hevesen progresszív társadalmi változásokat, és erőszakos vagy erőszakmentes formákat öltenek, ami a terrorizmushoz vezet. E projekt révén szeretnénk megérteni a radikálisok és a reformerek közötti eltérést, és felismerni a mérsékelt vélemények fontosságát, amelyek nem lépik túl az érzékeny társadalmi kérdések mélyreható megértésének mértékét.
From all the projects that I participated, this was the best! I really liked the topic, and especially the people. I unbelievably feel very close to them since the project.
For me, this project was full of experiences, I loved every minute of it. I met a lot of wonderful people and I hope to meet with them again. And last but not least I learned a lot of new things about other cultures and radicalism.
I really liked the project, because I met a lot of very kind and gorgeous people. Beside this, I got to learn about new cultures and my English skills improved a lot. Also, I feel myself more open-minded
